The Castle of Bibbione once owned by Machiavelli, is situated in the heart of the Chianti region, nearby San Casciano in Val di Pesa. Immersed in the greenery, thanks to its position, it dominates the Pesa Valley and the Chianti hills: panorama of rare beauty and harmony.

Fields and woods invite you to walk and discover villages, convents and Etruscan settlements in the area. Moreover, guests are able to take excursions on mountain bikes, play table tennis, or relax by the pool. A few kilometres from the farm, there is also horseback riding for those who enjoy the sport.

All the holiday homes are found on the estate. The rolling Chianti hills can be admired from the apartments and houses that were restored respecting their original structures. The accommodations were decorated in every minute detail and furnished with every modern convenience, while keeping to the traditional Tuscan style. Only antique handmade terra-cotta tiles were used, the interior and exterior stairways are made of smooth stone, and there are open wood beamed ceilings. The apartments were decorated with family furniture and paintings, and antique Kilim carpets which add a particular atmosphere. In every one, the bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens are completely outfitted. Everything was done to satisfy best the demands and taste of each guest.

For the most part, the 100 hectares of farmland are used in the production of extra virgin olive oil.

In addition, the farm also produces the Chianti Classico wine DOCG Gallo Nero and vin santo.

The Castle of Bibbione offers the possibility of enjoying rural living in an antique country home and, at the same time, one can quickly reach the urban and cultural centres of Tuscany: Florence (15 km.), Siena (44 km), San Gimignano, Lucca, Arezzo and Pisa.
